Nature has shown us that some things never change, regardless of how modern our societies become, certain things remain constant—certain things should remain constant. Beatriz Canedo Patiño founded the Fashion House of Beatriz Canedo Patiño with a vision that sophistication, elegance, and luxury must survive over time in fashion knowing that nature—in its purest form—is genuine beauty. With this in mind, Beatriz Canedo Patiño became the pioneer worldwide in introducing haute couture and bespoke garments exclusively in nature’s richest fibers—alpaca, vicuña and llama. Her unique proposition became known to the fashion industry from New York’s 550 Seventh Avenue where the allure of her romantic designs won her the title of “Queen of Alpaca.”
A woman loyal to her heart and her roots, she returned to Bolivia in 1994 in order to offer the world the “Made in Bolivia” label, expanding her business proposition to have direct access to the alpaca, vicuña and llama textile and to expose another hidden treasure from her native Bolivia—the craftsmanship and talent Bolivia’s tailors.
