Claudia Vallejo

Claudia Vallejo Jewelry is defined by bold minimalism and elegant design. Each piece is created by hand, beginning with a sketch that Claudia draws in her studio, which was founded in 1997 in her hometown of Bogota, Colombia. Trained as an anthropologist, Claudia spent a year in contemporary jewelry school at Escola Massana in Barcelona.

Every piece in each collection tells a story that comes from a moment or experience in Claudia’s life. The designs are clean and spare, rich with graceful curves, superb construction and personal meaning. The necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings are handmade with materials sourced in Colombia. All fine metals — silver and gold — are reused. Much of the silver in Claudia’s work has been melted from vintage cutlery. 

The River Stone collection incorporates stones gathered from the Saldana River in the Tolima region of Colombia. The pieces are handcrafted in a collaboration with a community of craftsmen living in Ataco, Tolima who are survivors of decades of violence in their region.
